Labor Day Weekend Practices
August 27th, 2007 — Boys Soccer
There will be no Pershing soccer practice on Friday, August 31, 2007.
There will be practice on Monday, September 3, 2007 (Labor Day) for those who can make it. Although this is a holiday, it will be the last opportunity for the JV1 team to practice before their first game, tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, September 4.
Hopefully, Lake Country will distribute the game schedules sometime early this week.
Reminder: Jerseys will be provided by Lake Country. Players must provide their own black soccer style shorts and socks for games.”

The t-shirt and hoodie order form is available in PDF format.
The order deadline is Wednesday, September 5.
Practice Schedule Change
August 16th, 2007 — Boys Soccer
Beginning on Monday, August 20, the boys soccer practices will be on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 5:30pm - 7:00pm (note new time). This schedule will be in effect until further notice. Under Lake Country rules, middle school teams can not have mandatory practices on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday once school begins (see pages 6-7 of the Pershing Soccer Information Packet). Although Friday practices will be voluntary, we encourage everyone to attend who can, especially Varsity or JV1 players who will have a game on the following Monday or Tuesday. However, we realize that families start weekend activities on Friday evenings. If you will not be attending a voluntary Friday practice, just let your coach know.
If you have a conflict between a Pershing school practice and a club team practice, you should attend your club team practice. Once the game season begins, if you have a conflict between a Pershing school game and a club game or practice, you should discuss it with your coach.

Pershing Soccer Registration Update
August 3rd, 2007 — Boys Soccer
1. As of August 3 we have found out that Lake Country has changed the registration process for middle school soccer. The information posted on their web site, which we put on ours, they now say is incorrect and should not be followed. Here is the correct process, as of now:
(a) Register with Lake Country on their web page, as previously stated;
(b) The original MYSYA Membership form and the Medical Release and Liability form go to the Pershing coaches (Coach Rob or Steve Hart), as well as a $60 check payable to Lake Country Soccer. DO NOT send these forms to Lake Country.
Note: They have returned to us those already sent to them, so those players do not have to resubmit any forms. Those players who have not yet registered, follow the above instructions and provide the forms and payment to the Pershing coaches;
(c) These forms are technically suppose to be in the coach’s possession before a player attends an official practice. Bring these forms (if you have not already submitted them to Lake Country) to the next attended practice!!!
(d) You now have until August 24 to register on line with Lake Country.
2. Some players sent the forms to Lake Country without the $60 fee. You cannot be registered or play until you pay!!!
3. We need t-shirt sizes ASAP!
