The Pershing soccer JV1 squads started the season with mixed results. Both teams fight hard, but the Generals came away with 1-1 record on the evening.

During the 6 p.m. game, Pershing Boys JV1 Red team defeated Catholic 2-1. Goals by Josh Call and Sean Perryman clinched the win for the Generals. Gavin Burlew was credited with the assist on Call’s goal.

At 7:30, Pershing Boys JV1 Black team was defeated by Cherokee in their first game of the season. The team showed a lot of determination and several break away attempts were denied.

Pershing Boys Varsity soccer team defeated Ozark 11-0. A balanced scoring attack aided the win. Goals from Nicholas Lantz, Nick Moore, Zach Miller (2), Ethan Nance (2), Joshua Nance (2), Bobby Spence, Joshua Call, and Thomas Burkhardt contributed to a solid first win for the boys soccer team. Contributing assists were Nathan Lantz, Nick Moore (2), Ethan Nance, Joshua Nance, and Thomas Burkhardt. Reminder due to Labor Day next Monday, the Varsity boys will not play again until 9/13. Pershing plays Catholic at 6 p.m. on Field 13.

Practices will be held at Lake Country Soccer Field 6 this Wednesday, Sept 1 starting at 4:25 p.m.

Pershing boys soccer practices this season will be moved to Lake Country Field #6 on Wednesdays, beginning September 1. Practice Times are 4:25 – 6 p.m.

We will not have additional practices going into Labor Day weekend.

Reminder:

Varsity plays Ozark – Monday, August 30 at 6 p.m. Varsity and current swing players should be at the fields by 5:30. We will hand out t-shirts before the game. Players should wear black shorts and black socks.

JV1 Red plays Catholic – Tuesday, August 31 at 6 p.m. JV1 Black plays Cherokee at 7:30 p.m. Players should be at the fields 30 minutes before game time.

Due to the influx of additional boys interested in playing soccer this fall for Pershing, the JV1 rosters have been adjusted. Please check the pages link to see where your child will be playing this fall. We have enough players so that everyone is assigned to one team (either the JV1 Red or JV1 Black).

Please if you have any questions or concerns talk to one of the coaches after practice.

Pershing Boys Soccer team practice dates for August/September (revised). All Pershing Soccer practices will be held at Pershing Middle School 4:30 to 6 p.m. (Wednesdays and Thursdays).

August 31 – JV1 Seasons Begins. Red plays Catholic at 6 p.m. Field 15. Black plays Cherokee at 7:30 p.m. Field 15. Reminder your son may swing both games.

September 1 – Practice (Pershing MS Soccer Fields) 4:30-5:45 p.m.

September 7 – JV1 Red vs. Nixa at 6 p.m. Field 14. JV1 Black vs. Ozark at 7:30 p.m. Field 15.

September 8 – Practice (Pershing MS Soccer Fields) 4:30-5:45 p.m.

Pershing boys soccer team will field a Varsity and two JV1 teams this fall. Please check the rosters to determine where your son will be playing (They may be playing on more than one team).  New players will be evaluated and rosters adjusted as needed.
