Both JV teams played with a lot of determination. JV Red had it’s first goal of the season by Carson Buzbee! Great job Carson. For the first games of the season we were pleased with most of what we saw. We do have things to work on so please be at practice Thursday night from 5:15-6:45.

We will have copies of the game schedules for everyone. If you want to print your own, they are on the Lake Country Soccer website. Leagues/MiddleSchoolSoccer/girls.

In the first game of the season, the Nixa Varsity were obviously out for revenge. They came out strong and never let down. We had some unlucky moments when several close shots bounced off the posts. The first game of the season is a good learning tool. We will discuss the game and work on some things in practice Thursday. Please plan to practice on Thursday at Pershing from 5:15 to 6:45. We are a better team than we showed tonight. Get ready for our game next week!

ALL GAMES ARE PLAYED AT THE LAKE COUNTRY SOCCER COMPLEX ON THE NORTH FIELDS.

THE NORTH FIELDS ARE LOCATED ON PYTHIAN STREET BETWEEN  THE KILLIAN SOFTBALL COMPLEX AND THE COOPER TENNIS COMPLEX.

DIRECTIONS: TAKE HIGHWAY 65 NORTH TO CHESTNUT EXPRESSWAY. TURN LEFT (WEST) ON CHESTNUT EXPRESSWAY. FOLLOW CHESTNUT EXPRESSWAY TO PATTERSON AVE. TURN RIGHT (NORTH) ON PATTERSON AND FOLLOW TO STOP SIGN. THE INDOOR SOCCER DOME WILL ON THE LEFT. TURN LEFT (WEST) ON PYTHIAN AND FOLLOW PAST THE TENNIS COMPLEX. YOU WILL SEE THE FIELDS ON THE RIGHT. TURN INTO THE  PARKING LOT JUST AFTER THE FIELDS.

FIELD 10 IS THE FIELD CLOSEST TO THE ROAD. FIELDS 13 AND 14 ARE ON THE FIRST TIER OF FIELDS AND FIELDS 15 AND 16 ARE ON THE TOP TIER OF THE FIELDS.

It has been arranged. The Pershing Varsity team will scrimmage the Glendale JV team on Sunday March 25th from 3:30-5:00 at Glendale.

Varsity players (including Swing players) need to come to Glendale on Sunday instead of Pershing. Previous players wear your old Pershing soccer T-shirt. If you do not have a Pershing soccer T-shirt please wear a red T-shirt.

We will scrimmage in the lagoon (football practice field).

Good practice tonight girls! I continue to see improvement. Please try to get your foot on the ball during Spring break. I know many are traveling and I hope all have fun. For those of you that are staying in Springfield – Coach Bruce will have a practice on Thursday March 22nd from 5-7 pm. This practice is for anyone in town that wants extra coaching.

FINAL PRACTICE BEFORE THE FIRST GAMES FOR BOTH VARSITY AND JV TEAMS WILL BE SUNDAY MARCH 25TH FROM 3-5 PM AT PERSHING. I WANT ALL PLAYERS THAT ARE IN TOWN TO BE THERE.

The last practice before Spring Break is tomorrow from 5:15-7:00. We will practice on Sunday March 25th from 3-5 pm. This will be the last practice before games begin.

GO LADY GENERALS!!

I would like all of the Varsity players to make every attempt to be at practice this Wednesday and/or Thursday for a quick meeting at 5:15. If you can’t stay for the entire practice that is OK. I will need about 15 minutes at the beginning of practice.

Also – VARSITY please make every attempt to be at the pracrtice scheduled for Sunday March 25th from 3-5 pm. This will be our last practice before the first game on Monday 3/26.

Thanks to all players for coming to practice and making an effort. We have seen improvement, but we need more work. Please try to practice on your own. Dribble the ball in your yard, kick back and forth with a friend or family member. Juggle the ball between your feet! The more you touch the ball, the better you will become!

JV Red and JV Black rosters have had a small change.  Coach Bruce and I have switched two players. Autumn Ponsar is now on Pershing Black and Grace Stone is now on Pershing Red. The decision was based on the positions that these two girls usually play and the needs of each team.

Varisty plays on Monday March 26th at 6:00 pm vs Nixa!

Pershing Red plays Tuesday March 27th at 6:00 pm vs Nixa.

Pershing Black plays Tuesday March 27th at 7:30 pm vs Ozark.

Sometimes the schedules change so watch for updates! If there are no changes, I will pass out copies the first week of the season.

We want to extend practice on Thursday this week (3/15) until 7:00pm. Please plan to practice from 5:15-7:00.

Coach Bruce would like to offer a practice during the week of Spring Break. Stay tuned for the date!

We WILL have practice on Sunday March 25th from 3-5 pm. PLEASE try to make it to this practice. This will be the last practice before our games!!!

Practice is cancelled for tonight. We are still planning to practice at Pershing on Saturday from 3-4:30. Please try to make it. Otherwise we will see everyone on Monday at 5:15.

Coach Bruce and I have decided that we will play with two JV1 teams this season. We will have Pershing Red and Pershing Black. We have divided the JV roster into what we believe will be two equal teams. If we find that this is not the case, we may adjust the teams. JV1 games are played on Tuesday nights.
